Alexis has spoken nationally about this subject as well as traveling the state of Oregon as a voice for injury prevention through ThinkFirst Oregon. Along with being a TBI speaker, Alexis has traveled throughout the Northwest as an emcee and dancer for Radio Disney. Alexis works for a Portland advertising agency and is finishing her B.A. from Portland State University.

After graduation, Alyssa plans to pursue a career in brand management for an up and coming winery in the Willamette Valley! Aside from school, this true Oregonian has a big passion for the environment and recycling! She even helped her old school win a “Green School” award or starting a shoe and battery recycling program

Arielle works in her field of studies as a music and entertainment journalist. She enjoys interviewing musicians and celebrities about their community involvement. This inspires kids and teens to get involved in their own communities. She studies Korean and one day aspires to work as a liaison in the South Korean entertainment industry. Arielle’s passion is volunteerism and her latest project is Happy Birthday Blessings, where she donates complete parties to disadvantaged or ill youth.

Blanca is a jewelry consultant and a certified diamontologist. Some of her goals consist of having her own brand of clothing and owning a chain of stores. She studied psychology but soon realized it wasn’t her passion. She went on to pursue her goal of fashion designing. She now enjoys being a personal stylist. Blanca enjoys keeping herself busy in her community, one of them is her passion for learning different cultures of religion.

Caitlen is a 22-year-old graduate of Oregon State University with a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science. She hopes to work for a Geographical Information Systems company as a Geospatial Analyst. Outside of Geography, Caitlen’s passion lies in her personal platform “Caitlen’s Crusade: Supporting Victims of Childhood Trauma.” Her love of adventure has taken her to fifteen countries, backpacking expeditions, and intimate wildlife experiences. Her Goldendoodle, Hansel, is a constant companion from hikes to gardening.

Jacquelyne, 26, is a first Generation Nigerian-American and a Licensed Cosmetologist at the Chic Salon & Spa located along the South Waterfront Downtown. Her Goal in Life includes building a hair school to help with the development of the economy in Nigeria, expanding on her Cosmetic business “Umachi Cosmetics”, becoming a sought-after hairstylist, and building a chain of luxury hotel & spas. She lives by motto “happiness, health, & wealth”.

Learning classical ballet and boxing at the same time sounds challenging, but Kayla enjoys the grace and poise she gained from ballet, with the strength and agility from boxing. But, Kayla doesn’t stop there. She is a NCAA swimmer, and qualified for the Northwest Championships finals every year. Her passions motivated her to major in public health and nutrition at Pacific University, where she is on academic scholarship. Kayla also loves volunteering for the Ronald McDonald House and baking healthy treats for all the families who are staying there.

She is a wildland firefighter during summer and goes to school full time in the winter. Laura-Ann has an Associate’s Degree focused in Forestry and is currently pursuing a Bachelors in wildfire ecology and forestry management at Oregon State University.

Manju is a senior at the University of Oregon where she is studying physics and math. From Corvallis, she often visits home, particularly to see her puppy, Murphy. Manju has conducted research at the University of Oregon and interned at both the White House and NASA. She founded and served as the Executive Director of a local nonprofit for over two years. In her free time, she enjoys flying planes and acting.

An Oregon native, Natalie sticks to her roots enjoying all outdoor activities, and living a healthy lifestyle. She works at Nike, is a youth Zumba Instructor and represents Sports and Lifestyle Unlimited Agency as a model. Her free time is filled volunteering, and discovering her new favorite restaurant in Portland. If crowned Miss Oregon USA, she plans to empower youth to take charge of their health, and live the life they imagine.

At 20 years old, Samantha works at a veterinary clinic as their youngest supervisor. She is also completing a criminal justice degree and plans on becoming an animal cruelty investigator while inspiring women to pursue their dreams in male dominated careers like law enforcement. She enjoys spending time with her Cockatoo “Frosty”, and visiting rescue animals on her parent’s farm. Samantha hopes to return to Costa Rica where she volunteered after graduating early from high school.

Sara also volunteers as a piano instructor teaching underprivileged youth music.

When she isn’t helping people, Tiffany loves going on adventures and being immersed in the great outdoors. Above all, she loves creating beautiful memories with her loved ones.

Tracing her roots to Oregon’s original settlers in the 1850s, proud dairy farmers, loggers, and fishermen, Toneata Morgan now makes her home in the coastal town of Coquille. Toneata is 21 years old and will graduate in 2018 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, and a Minor in Film and Television Studies.

A busy actress and model, she can be seen in several popular reality TV series, including “Beauty and the Geek Australia,” “Growing Up Hip Hop,” and “Master P’s Family Empire.”

Toneata is also an entrepreneur as CEO and designer for All Legs, her active-wear company. Her ultimate career goal is to build a fashion empire, starting with her All Legs active-wear, while continuing acting and modeling. Through entertainment content and long-valued morals, Toneata wants to inspire a movement among millennials towards an inclusive, more caring, and connected community nationwide.

Giving back is extremely important to Toneata, so she has dedicated All Legs to taking action with every sale, contributing to charities promoting causes that matter to women, such as cyberbullying, including the Kind Campaign and the Cybersmile Foundation.

In honor of her late father, a Purple Heart Veteran who died when she was just one year old, Toneata also supports the Wounded Warrior Project, the Ladies Auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, and other veterans’ causes.

Consequently, as her Miss Oregon USA 2018 platform, Toneata is passionate about educating youth about cyberbullying and supporting our veterans and the military. She looks forward to speaking at schools and other organizations where positive role models are needed to encourage young people to go after their dreams and goals, and to honor those veterans whose sacrifices have made our way of life possible.

Toneata has many awards and honors, including being on the Dean’s List at her university; in the Top 15% of her high school class; Ambassador, National Society of High School Scholars, and winner of her county’s 2014 VFW Voice of Democracy Speech Competition.

For fun, Toneata enjoys exercise/fitness, kayaking, hiking, camping, swimming, boating, ATVs, horseback riding and, of course, shopping / fashion.

Toneata sets goals, works hard, and dreams big. She seeks to honor her state as “the first Miss Oregon crowned Miss USA, then competing for the title of Miss Universe.”

Vasti, 19, is a Political Science and Early Childhood Education major at Oregon State University and Chemeketa Community College. She is currently working for the Salem-Keizer School District, and hopes to open a community indoor soccer facility.
